The beautiful sweet scented, yellow Narcissus. First flowers of Spring! Showing that Spring and Summer are on there way..

As the story of Narcissus goes, he was the son of a river-god, who fell in love with his own reflection. He was so absolutely handsome that even the flowers bowed in profound reverences when he walked by. He loved himself more than anyone else, and was rude towards those who approached him, as no one was beautiful enough to deserve his company. Because he was unable to love others, the gods decided to punish him for his pride, and made him fall in love with his own reflection in a pool, where he died without being able to leave the beauty of his image. He was changed into the narcissus flower - so that he could stand along the waters nodding at his own image forever.

The Narcissus represents egotism and conceit.

Maybe this flower represents someone close by to you. Someone with whom you love but feel miles apart from.

Maybe it represents a part of yourself - which you now recognise was a part of you. A part you have chose to leave behind or to heal.

The Narcissus also represents the Solar Plexus, abundance and joy.
